BrainPOP 101 My Class: Personalize Learning for Your Students
BrainPOP has been a tremendous resource in our classrooms for many years. A BrainPOP Certified Educator will show you how to take learning even further by having students show their understanding by creating concept maps using keywords, images, and video clips directly from the movies using BrainpOP 101. Students create their maps using Make-A-Map or even make their own movies with Mobi in the new Make-A-Movie recently released. They have a great time with the educational Games tied to concepts. You have probably seen or used the Quizzes after the videos, but using the Quiz Mixer you can create your own quizzes! You can create several quizzes for a concept by creating your own questions or looking at a bank of previously made quizzes on a similar topic to allow differentiation so each student takes a quiz that is at their level. You will even be able to explore BP's latest great feature that teachers love, Creative Coding! Have your students show what they know and practice their coding skills at the same time. In this session you will learn how to set up your class, enroll your students and monitor their progress through all these parts of BrainPOP, use the BrainPOP Educator feature, and more!!

Transform PDFs with Read&Write's PDF Reader
Portable Document Format (PDF) files continue to be one of the most popular file formats found both on and off the web. They’re great when you need to retain formatting, restrict others from editing, or save a digital copy of a file. PDFs are also easily viewable on devices ranging from phones to Chromebooks.

However, when it comes to accessibility, engagement, and collaboration within PDFs, the file format falls short. That’s why we've created the Texthelp PDF Reader as part of Read&Write, which provides a speedy experience while integrating all the bells and whistles anyone looking to interact with PDFs would want.

Depending on the application used to view PDF files, many PDF viewers fall short in areas such as:

-Accessibility
-Responding to questions
-Creating text, voice, or other annotations
-Making or replying to comments
-Real-time collaboration

The Texthelp PDF Reader aims to help remedy many of these common shortfalls. Built from the ground up, our Reader provides a lightning fast experience for anyone looking to interact with PDFs.

In this session, you'll see how you can use the Read&Write tools you know and love in a PDF to:
- Read text aloud
- Look up words in the Dictionary and Picture Dictionary
- Translate words
- Highlight text
- Build vocabulary lists
- Comment and annotate in the PDF
- See the PDF Reader’s newest features: drawing and shape annotation tools!

Turing Tumble is a relatively new game that works on the same principal as much older computers, with mechanical switches. Current technology also uses the idea of switches to operate, just not mechanical. What we do will depend a bit on what games we are able to get. Many of our buildings have received (or will soon) this game. If we borrow some unopened then we'll go through the unpacking, assembly and re-packing, as well as allow time for you to try a few challenges and understand the manual and how the game works. That would take about an hour. If we borrow games that are already assembled, then there will be more time for challenges. I can almost guarantee that you will enjoy this. Ideally we will have 1 person per game, or at most 2.
